The UWS Women in the Creative Technologies Conference on Thursday 13 March 2014 is a 1-day conference aimed at creative technologies students across Scotland. The event is also open to delegates and to those who are interested into getting into the creative technology industry. The event will be held at the Paisley campus of University of West of Scotland.

The conference’s central themes are employment and employability in the creative industries and it will give attendees an insight into how to start their careers and progress in them. The conference will start with keynote speakers to give featured talks and the afternoon will consist of various speakers to give workshops on various topics of interest.

Also featured are UWS Creative Technology students Suzie Beith, Fiona Starrs, Tayler Ross, Jennifer Craig, Silvia Neculai and myself. I will be one of the speakers promoting about working within the computer games. I will be discussing my own experiences as a first year student of working as a QA Video Games tester and how I got my internship. Each workshop will have a Q&A session and an opportunity to ask for advice. There will also be recruiters there, so be ready to impress with your skills.
