You will also see little images of the World, friends and comments b2ap3_thumbnail_image4.png – these are your notifications and a number will pop up beside them if you receive any new notifications.

Under Profile Tab, you are able to edit profile, change privacy, set preferences and customise your page.

When you click on your profile picture it brings you to your page. This is very much similar to the Community, but it shows clearly as you scroll down, your rank, friends, groups, events, photos etc. on the right hand side of the page. It also shows everything that you have done in the community i.e. posting blogs, liking images etc. Note: The Community shows the recent activity of what your friends have done, your profile only shows recent activity of what you have done on the site.

Under the Friends Tab you can find friends, search for friends and even invite friends to join the site. You can invite your friends to the site, by inputting their email address.

How To use the Community Blogs

When in the Blogs segment of the site, it is important to note two things:

·         When posting a blog, you are only selecting the category ‘Community Blogs’

·         When posting a blog, please ensure that it follows the Community Usage Rules as stated in the T&Cs of the site

You can select to go into Community Blogs in two ways. The first is by going to ‘Community’ at the top of the page, and following the Dropdown to ‘Community Blogs’. The second is by choosing ‘Blogs’ tab in the dashboard that has Profile etc.

Once there, you click on the ‘New Blog Post’ icon. It is represented by a pencil on paper

How To Input Videos into Blog Posts

Some of you may have experience writing articles for WordPress and so would understand how to embed videos into your written pieces. This is a How To for those who are unsure, or who have never needed to embed a video into their work. Copy and Paste the example if you wish, and replace with the related YT video URL, Width and Height of the video. This is found in the ‘Embed’ tab under the YT video.

{“video”:”Insert video URL”,”width”:”____”,”height”:”___”(found in the embed feature of the video under ‘Embed’ option)}

Example:

How To Update Your Biography (or status)

Note: Your biography is your status. If you change the status then your biography will change also

To do this, log in to the site and go to ‘Community’. Scroll down the page until you see ‘Hello Me’ (this is found directly under ‘Groups’). You will see a bigger image of your profile picture and underneath that is ‘Edit my Status’. Edit that, and it will become your biography.
