To answer your question, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that you won’t be able to shoot through walls using the Titans. Disappointed? Yeah, so am I.
Even though Titanfall’s mechs features an awesome arsenal of weaponry, you won’t be able to use it to root out those annoying campers. This means, good news for all you COD and BF fans who like to sit back and kill people as they run past.
A Respawn developer on the forums, called “Scriptacus” informed the community that:
“No shooting through walls for this title. It’d take a fair bit of design work to do otherwise, especially with the power of the Titan weapons. From a realistic standpoint you would expect them to be the most effective at penetrating walls, but that would just make life hard for Pilots”
This suggests that although no shooting through walls will be available in Titanfall, that there might be a possibility of this feature in future titles that Respawn develop and/or in the Titanfall series. Rest assured fellow non-campers…… There will be other ways to seek out and eliminate those sitting by the fires.
Titanfall is one of 2014’s most-anticipated games and is coming exclusively to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Titanfall launches on Xbox One and PC on March 11 in North America, March 13 in Europe and Australia and March 14 in UK and New Zealand. The Xbox 360 version of the game, developed by Bluepoint Games will be released on the 25 March in North America and March 28 worldwide.
