Twitch releases Statement
While this is a correct step for Twitch.tv to take to protect its Brand, others feel that their attention to have a safe space on their platform to stream, has been lax. Several members of the Twitter community have posted their opinions on where Twitch.tv and who Twitch.tv chooses to support, and who not.
While Twitch.tv is known for content creators that stream a variety of talents such as musicians, artist, and mostly gamers, it is also known for taking its time on handling issues within the community. Those issues, include not making a safe space for BIPOC, people who are Trans, and Homosexual.


In the wake of recent events from a streamer named ‘Kimmikka’, who was allowed to perform sex on their platform and only receive a 7-day ban. Once the ban was lifted, ‘Kimmikka’ proceeded with another show. ‘Kimmikka’ socials NOW have been banned. This prompted another series of questions against the brand and where they stand in protection of their community.
