For a while now 343 Industries, the company that currently makes the Halo games have been hosting the MCC Insider Program. This program was created to allow fans to help craft a new era of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and through multiple different test flights, they have. We’re now coming up to the stage in which the fixes and tweaks have been done, and the update can be given out to the general public who own the retail version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Starting September 1st, anyone who owns a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection will receive the newest update. If you don’t already own the game, the Xbox Game Pass will also be including the game from the same date. The new Halo: The Master Chief Collection will feature improved matchmaking, offline LAN, faster load times, Xbox One X visual enhancements such as 4K UHD resolution, customizable installation options and more. Halo: The Master Chief Collection runs Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 at 60FPS too.
As someone who has been included in the MCC Insider Program from flight two onwards, I can say that it feels like a completely new game. While it has taken a while to get to this stage, a big thank you to 343 Industries is deserved for their continued effort and dedication towards putting things right for the community.
