It has been excitedly announced by Rare Studios and Microsoft that Kinect Sports Rivals will be exclusively released on Xbox One on 8 April 2014 in North America and 11 April 2014 Worldwide.
What this means is that the Kinect will deliver amazing next-gen motion sports gameplay like never before! Sports fans will be able to tackle sports such as, climbing, bowling, soccer, target shooting, wake racing and many many more.
If you were one of the lucky few who got to play some Kinect Sports Rivals at Eurogamer Expo (now known as EGX) in 2013, then you got the chance to play and race against a friend (or with computer AI), in the fun and fast-paced wake-racing.
The environment is very impressive and the Kinect sensitivity is such that the players will feel completely in control of their surroundings.
The game takes full advantage of the Xbox One capabilities including the new sensor, which instantly scans you and then re-creates a digitized champion of yourself. It also responds to how you play and constantly updates the “always-evolving experience”.
Within the game there are three global teams, each with their own playing style, equipment and backgrounds. You are one of these team members competing against other competitors, or you can just play against your friends for ultimate bragging rights. As you are dropped into this ever-evolving and seamless world of Kinect Sports Rivals, in beautiful 1080p HD, your subtle little movements and your timing is tracked and every decision matters to secure that win!
Depending on what team you play for, you will be given an array of motivation and gameplay tips from your team members or they even join you in certain challenges.
The three teams include:
- The Wolf Clan
- The Eagle Legion
- The Viper Network
The Wolf Clan comprises of primal driven island natives, the Eagle Legion are those loyal and dedicated to the sport and the Viper Network are the crafty new team with lots of sponsorships. Remember, that whatever team you choose, it’s YOU versus the world.
