The guys over at Freakin Rad have put together their latest video in the form of Destiny v Halo. If you’re not familiar with their videos they do live action versus matches between familiar characters’ form various things like video games, films etc.
Their recent video, as previously mentioned, pits Guardians against Spartans in a 3v3 fight to the death!
It has everything you’d expect from both sides. The Spartans are no nonsense straight to business while the Guardians appear carrying a stereo and there’s even some classic Destiny dance moves thrown in for good measure.
One of the best parts of the video is the addition of the voice over guy (Jeff Steitzer) from Halo making random announcements as the fight ensues. Whether this is actually the man himself could be debated but it if isn’t the impression is spot on. This had to be included in my opinion as it makes the video and would be weird without it to be honest.
The costumes in the video are spot on as well look sharp as do all the weapons. I have seen some people comment on some of the armour stating that you can only equip one piece of exotic armour or weapon at one time. To these people, you need to chill out and enjoy the video for what it is, a good laugh and a bit of fun. Life’s too short to be getting bogged down by things like that.

I thought you all might like a little back story on Freakin Rad, who doesn’t love a backstory? We got a few words from Boston about the beginnings of Freakin Rad and the journey so far. Enjoy!
“A few years ago I jumped on the YouTube train and created a channel called Freakin Rad. The aim was simple create high quality action adventure comedy. We mashed up extreme sports and Star Wars and had a hugely successful viral hit Halo vs Predator.
After some time we put out a Halo web series that was received by the Halo fan community with praise and appreciation. Things got a little expensive and we took a hiatus for a little over a year, but our love for XBOX gaming and fan videos never died.
Even though the channel was inactive we still grew 3 times our subscriber base with the videos we had. So due to popular demand, Freakin Rad’s YouTube channel is back with their launch of a new video called Halo vs Destiny where Master Chief and his fellow Spartans banter with Destiny Guardians, mock each other’s AI, and of course, break out in a live action duel.
Freakin Rad combined forces with Vizibility Zero, a production company that specializes in high quality CG visual effects and the video itself ultimately represents the merging of their two channels.
