Fallout 4 has finally landed back on our Xbox consoles and boy, was it worth the wait!
Without going into the finer details surrounding the opening scenes and storyline, like past Fallout titles you’re dropped in the middle of a nuclear devastated planet where you must scavenge to survive. You’ll soon join a team known as The Minute-men and discover your own members in the form of a trusted K9 pooch named Dogmeat and your former servant robot, Codsworth.

The games mechanics are familiar to most who play FPS and are near perfect, (apart from me constantly pushing the wrong button in an attempt to jump.) If like me, you’re impatient and feel brave enough to explore a little further afield before equipping yourself with some weapons and ammo you’ll soon be reminded how unforgiving many of the creatures you’ll find lurking around the world can be.

The environment you find yourself in is based on Boston, Massachusetts and many familiar buildings and attractions can be seen when exploring the once picturesque wasteland that now inhabits the city.

In short Fallout 4 has become an instant huge hitter for Bethesda and rightfully so! There are some rough edges graphically, but those are easily overlooked and forgotten by the depth of the gameplay itself and story that follows as you make in game choices. I’m excited to get more game time exploring everything in finer detail with Fallout 4, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do. Check back soon for our Fallout 4 review ‘part two’.
