Announced today at the Microsoft E3 press conference, the Xbox One console will be backwards compatible and will be able to play or your disc copies of your Xbox 360 games. Along with this will be a list of digital games available for the backwards compatible list which can be found HERE, it makes a very strong case to upgrade to Xbox One if yo have not already. Cross console multiplayer will also be available allowing Xbox 360 games played on the Xbox One to allow online play with someone playing the same game on a Xbox 360 console.
Xbox Preview members will have access to this feature very soon, but for anyone else not on the preview program will have to wait till November/December period (more than likely) before we can play our old favourites on the newer console.
