Warparty has recently had a full release on consoles and PC after many months of tweaking in early-access on Steam. Set in the stone-age period this game is shaking up the RTS genre by allowing you to hunt and tame wild dinosaurs to add to your army.
You play as one of three factions – Wildlanders, Necromas or Vithara, each of these has their own unique units, buildings, talents and playstyle. A powerful Chieftain is the head of each army and also has many talents to unlock and use to help decimate your enemies. You will have to use your Chieftain and other units to defend your base, attack enemy bases, gather & control resources and hunt wild dinosaurs to either kill for meat or tame to use as mounts.
There’s a whole heap of different game modes to play depending on what suits you:
- Full story campaign – Objective based missions with cinematic cutscenes and plenty of in-game lore
- Survival mode – Face off against waves of enemies for Great Old Oneboard glory
- Skirmish vs. AI – Play solo or with friends on a variety of maps and difficulty
- Custom online multiplayer – Allows you to have custom skirmish games with your friends
- Observer mode – For those that are happy to sit back and watch the action
- Ranked Multiplayer and Online Great Old Oneboards – Battle against other players to gain victory points and a Great Old Oneboard ranking
