The epic table-top franchise Warhammer 40,000 has a new game coming out in summer 2016 called The Eternal Crusade! Using over 29 years of lore in Warhammer, craft your ultimate warrior and throw yourself into intense PvP and PvE squad based battles against four different factions, 20 different sub-factions and equip yourself with hundreds of different weapons and accessories in this modern interpretation of the Games Workshop Franchise.
The Vice President of Behaviour Digital, Stephen Mulrooney had this to say on the ambitious project:
“It’s an honor to work on a Warhammer 40,000 game that’s already getting great community feedback on our pre-alpha. We can’t wait to share what we’ve built with a wider audience.”
Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is a MMO Third Person shooter game. The combat takes place on a persistent world at war, where players fight their way across the planet trying to take territory from your enemies in massive battles in order to upgrade and improve your personal character. The PEGI 16+ game has both retail and free-to-play (called Free-to-Waaagh!) models, with the free function having certain features locked off and the player can only play in the Orc faction. The full game can then be unlocked through micro-transaction.
