Crytek and Microsoft Studios have announced the launch of a public beta for Warface Xbox 360 Edition. The beta will be available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Nordics, Australia and New Zealand. For all you Irish readers, unfortunately we don’t get it :(

Fans of the popular free-to-play online first-person shooter can be among the first to experience the intense co-operative and competitive multi-player action on the 360. The game is powered by CRYENGINE and it boasts compelling gameplay set in the near future where Warface forces battle against the Blackwood military.

The beta will allow players to experience different tactical approaches, gameplay and styles as well as unique weapons and classes. The classes are pretty much what you would expect from a war based shooter and include:

  • Rifleman
  • Medic
  • Engineer
  • Sniper

Warface Xbox 360 Edition will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 as a free-to-play with those who have Xbox Live Gold membership. Remember, that it is only available in the countries listed at the beginning of this article. When the game launches in the spring, players will receive regularly updated content, enabling fans to experience new, daily co-operative campaign missions and a continuous supply of new maps, weaponry, boosts and more.
