The all new game from Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s The Division is edging closer to release and to continue the hype here is the newest trailer for the game showing off the RPG like elements present in the game:
It looks like there is potentially a lot of factors that can be changed depending on your actions within the game, from base building to managing your own teams of mercenaries. There is a huge amount of weapon (and possibly human) customisations and a surprising amount of Sci-Fi esq. technology available (the little machine gun and flame-thrower drones remind me of the awesome little bot’s you found in Doom 3) as well as some sort of controllable rolling grenade.
Many aspects seem to have been influenced by the earlier game Watch Dogs and are an evolution of that format, assuming all the kinks can be worked out early it should be an immense experience. A bleak future for New York has been gorgeously rendered using the new proprietary ‘Snowdrop’ engine exclusive to Ubisoft. You can work with other players – the good and the bad – to find rare and powerful loot in the ‘Dark Zones’ which also brings in the needed Multiplayer element to keep the game going in the long run.
The Division is set to be released on the 8th of March on Xbox One.
