Though there has been plenty of good news coming out prior to Titanfalls release, much like the fact there will be no micro-transactions for the game, there are some strange bits that have been surfacing as well. It’s recently been stated by the games official Twitter account that it will not receive a Season Pass. This means that if, and when, any downloadable content for the game releases, you won’t be able to get any discount on purchasing it all before hand. You’ll have to go and look for it yourself, one by one.

While this isn’t necessarily bad news, it is interesting to see how Titanfall will continue to evolve as the title releases and people are playing it in the coming months. A lot of people have complained that many Shooters have the issue of only bringing map packs to the table when it comes to new content, which in a previous life on the PC had been completely free. Call of Duty being cited as the most notorious for this as it tends to deliver a small number of maps for a pretty costly price.

This could mean that EA and Respawn Entertainment aren’t looking for purely map packs as content, which means a great deal. It could be anything from new weapons to new titan models, new customization for your characters, anything you can think of really. It also could mean that there’ll be little to no DLC for the game, and a season pass just won’t be necessary. It’s all up in the air right now, and it looks like we won’t find out until well after the game has launched in a couple of weeks.
