The Titanfall collectors edition is a truly eye-popping set of memorabilia to go along with one of the most eagerly anticipated games for a very long time. As a new Xbox One title, Titanfall has console owners salivating at the prospect of hi-res graphics and rattling fast frame rates…but that is for another article. I digress. Today we’re looking at what you get for an eye watering £250, and whilst it all looks fabulous, I’ll leave the reader to decide on whether it represents value for money. If you like your collectables, you’ll adore this.
The main item in the set is the beautiful 18″ high titan statue, complete with LED lighting. Set on a diorama with other figures, the titan promises to dominate your shelf or glass cabinet with style and a physical presence that will be tough to beat. Each statue is handmade from more than 300 pieces, however the good news is that it comes fully assembled!
The other item sure to end up gracing more than a few coffee tables is the 190 page hard cover art book, which features concept art that all helped towards building the game. In addition there is a full size schematic poster – Respawn are not specific what full size means, however it looks like a full size poster of the statue (approx. 18″) and not a real titan (much, much bigger we think!). Rounding out the collectables, we of course have the game (which is after all what we really want!).
I’m not going to pretend that I understand what motivates someone to shell out such a sum of cash for some limited edition paraphernalia, but I do not it is looking beautifully put together, and makes for a very attractive package. I suppose for the Sheldon’s out there, it might just sit in it’s original package, but for those of a more practical nature, get the game out, get playing and then make us jealous of your pics of the limited edition stuff!
