The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 3

The Three month wait is finally almost over, despite the episode leaking on Xbox One earlier this week, Telltale have released a rather exciting and intriguing Trailer for the next episode in the point and click adventure set in the famous comic series’ universe. Beware of spoilers below as I delve into some of what this trailer shows as well as discuss a few of the events from the last two episodes.

From the trailer it appears we will be starting off pretty much where we left off, With Javier and co (as well as Clementine depending on your choices) arriving at Richmond and is currently being run by The New Frontier which we find out is actually run by Javier’s brother David, a twist to be sure considering it was one of David’s group who killed his daughter. If David is to be the villain of this season (i.e. the next Governor/Negan) I hope that he has some degree of dimension to his character, similar to the stranger of season 1 and while I did enjoy Michael Madsen’s performance of Carver in Season 2 the fact that he was killed off in just over an episode left much to be desired. As a major fan of the comic series it’s great to hear a couple of references going so far as to mention Jesus from “The Kingdom”, perhaps this is a sign that we might even get to interact with The Kingdom or the other groups from the Comic. It also seems from the Trailer that Javier will be upping his arsenal with an aluminium baseball bat which of course almost seems like a nod to Negan who’s iconic weapon is a barbed baseball bat.
