As you know we at XBLGamerHub love Play Expo not only is the play jam packed with arcade games, pinball, consoles from all era, computers from decades gone by, Halo tournaments all LAN’ed up, oh sorry I forgot to add at the beginning all of that is for you to play for free and that is just a small bit of the day.
Well just announced at this year’s PlayExpo the chaps from Red Dwarf will be making an appearance Craig Charles on Saturday and Sunday and Chris Barrie on Saturday only. You’ll be able to get your photo taken and snag an autograph and it will cost you a mere £15 each. I personally cannot wait for this I have my London Jets t-shirt on stand-by and I’m perfecting my Rimmer salute so I look like a perfect berk on the day and I’ll possibly be disowned from my wife, peers and the gaming fraternity.
PlayExpo also hosts National Gaming events, Cosplay Competitions, Screen.Play with TV & Movie props being placed in the hall for photo opportunities. Last year when XBLGamerHub attended we got to try out Oculus Rift before the Facebook buyout (I played War Thunder on it) take a quick ganders at our noisy video below.
On top of this you have numerous traders are selling their wares from odd Japanese sweets, nerd culture t-shirts you won’t find anywhere else, weapons and swords and numerous oddities I couldn’t even give a name.
This year’s PlayExpo at the Event City in Manchester (11th/12th October 2014) is going to be MASSIVE! It is one you really don’t want, make sure you book your tickets now!
