Developer Mouldy Toof and indie publisher Team 17 have announced that prison-escape sandbox, The Escapists, will be combining with The Walking Dead to create a new game called The Escapists: The Walking Dead. Robert Kirkman’s Skybound have given the green light for The Escapists to use their zombie license and The Escapists: The Walking Dead will involve Rick Grimes attempting to escape from various locations featured in the comic whilst evading the undead and keeping other survivors safe. If you’ve played The Escapists since it came to Xbox One earlier this year in February, then you’ll know how challenging it is; every mistake is crucial and can lead to a trip back to the drawing board. So now that you’ll have to confront waves of walkers along the way makes it an even more harrowing, but interesting, proposition. There’s no firm release date as of yet but The Escapists: The Walking Dead will be out on Xbox One this summer.
