Namco Bandai have announced the European Qualifier round for the TEKKEN 7 World Championship to be held during Paris Games Week at the ESL arena. Here 16 of the best European players will battle to secure one of three spots to compete at the TEKKEN World Tournament in Japan this December.
The winners will not only receive an all-inclusive stay in Japan where they will compete against other top TEKKEN players for a cash pool of ¥10,000,000 (£54,306), but also have the opportunity to win an additional €1,500 (£1,110) during the qualifier.
In a statement released to the press, Namco Bandai’s European VP of Marketing Hervé Hoerdt said: “With the EU qualifiers for the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship, we wanted to offer a chance for our very own TEKKEN players to take part in the biggest TEKKEN tournament to date! With a total of 10,000,000 JPY in the prize-pool, the chance to fight against the best players out there and a shot at the World Champion crown: we are sure that our fans will love the idea and give their all!” Classic Hervé.
