It is safe to say that there are some really quality games that come out on PC which sadly never make their way to consoles. As a concole only gamer, sometimes it can be really hard to swallow. Braintonik’s Spheriums had originally only been set to release for PC, indeed it has been available on Steam via early access for some time. But the Indie studio has just announced that it will be bringing Spheriums to Xbox.
So, when and what Spheriums?
Braintonik GameStudios have announced that Spheriums will be coming to the Xbox Series X and S summer 2022! This beautfully colourful action-adventure game uses a very visually stimulating colour palett, and looks a little similar to the fantastic Journey to the Savage Planet by Typhoon Games.
Spheriums is a single-player game that puts players on a journey set in a series of enchanting worlds! Players will play as the last Spheriums, an energy based life form, that must discover the elder’s secret for saving your dying homeworld. Explore the vibrant worlds, discover secrets, unlock weapons, solve puzzles, upgrade your player, and encounter over 50 unique creatures.
No exact release date has been given yet, with the release window of ‘summer’ the time given. Gamers can probably expect to see more of this indie gem closer to release, hopefully around the time that E3 normally is! We highly recommend taking a look at the trailer below…

Jean-Pierre Harvey, co-founder of Braintonik GameStudios said, “I was already excited about the upcoming release of Spheriums this summer, but now I am thrilled that it will be available on Xbox simultaneously”.
Releasing simultaneously on Xbox along with the PC is great to hear for Xbox gamers. As yet, there has been no news about a PlayStation or Switch version, but it would be great to see this game come to all consoles. Moving forward we’d love to see more and more indies be able to release on PC and consoles simultaneously, as console players do really miss out on some great indie games that only make it to PC.
