Earlier this year, Bandai Namco announced that its highly acclaimed racing sim Project CARS has surpassed the 1 million sales mark, so it should come as no surprise that the game’s developer Slightly Mad Studios would announce a sequel.

Slightly Mad are no strangers to this genre, with a huge pedigree of racing behemoths spanning over a 10 year period already under their belt, such as GTR, Need For Speed and Test Drive, so they certainly know what it takes to make a successful racing title.

With tens of thousands of players playing Project CARS, constantly sending feedback, and creating assets throughout the game’s development, Project CARS has well and truly established itself among the greats, and with it’s stunning visuals, it’s among the market leaders setting the benchmark.

Project CARS already has an existing schedule of ON DEMAND content well underway that will continue to provide the community with fresh new features, updates, and great things to play throughout the year. Slightly Mad Studios are now turning their attention to the future with this announcement for Project Cars 2. And just like its predecessor, this title will be once again created, tested and ultimately approved by the gamers through the WMD Portal crowd funding platform.
