Today, The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo have released more information about the much anticipated Pokemon Legends: Arceus, along with a new trailer. See below.
Introducing the Hisui Region’s Two Clans
Much to fan’s ‘Joy’, along with the Galaxy Clan, two more Clans have been announced, as well as a Merchant Clan. It will be very interesting to see how the player will engage with these new in-game factions, and the depth to which this will be explored.
Pokémon Legends: Arcueus: The Diamond Clan
The people of the Diamond Clan seem somewhat spiritual, and believe in being present and living in the moment with one’s allies. The leader of the Diamond Clan is named Adaman. His Pokémon partner is Leafeon. Adaman is a daring and tenatious man, who has little patience for wasting time, often impulsively rushing into things without thinking about the details.
Pokémon Legends: Arcueus: The Pearl Clan
Members of the Pearl Clan on the other hand frequently advocate the importance of valuing the vast, spacious land shared with others. Irida is the leader of the Pearl Clan. Her partner Pokémon is Glaceon. She values courage above all, and sees it’s importance in facing the vast region of Hisui. Irida is suspicious of people when first meeting them, but she will slowly come to trust the player thanks to the help they provide in quelling the noble Pokémon.
Despite these Clans disagreeing on many of their beliefs, they seem to share many similarities as well. Their attires are designed to reflect the Pokémon they pay their respects to; special Pokémon they call lords and ladies—or collectively, noble Pokémon. Moreover, both clans have wardens who serve these special Pokémon.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus The Ginko Guild Merchants
The Ginkgo Guild are a group of merchants who also operate in the Hisui region. They are not native to Hisui, but members of the Ginkgo Guild travel across the land, selling their wares far and wide. It is unknow the level to which they will come into play, regarding the story.
Add the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai to Your Team in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
If you have have records on your Nintendo Switch of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Pokémon Shining Pearl games, you will be able to take on a research request in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that will lead to an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai.

Darkrai – The Pitch-Black Pokémon
This Pokémon is active during nights of the new moon. It can lull people to sleep and make them have nightmares.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released on Friday, January 28, 2022, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. It is currently available for preorder.

As I mentioned earlier, it will be exciting to see the depth to which these factions are involved and the player freedom to interact with each one.
