Hello ladies, gentlemen and those of a non-binary nature, my name is Daibhi and this is the Gamerhub community.
The last time I had to write something like this for the website was way back in the aftermath of the PS5 and Xbox Series X launching whilst the pandemic raged on and most people were trapped in their homes. This little article is something similarly serious in nature, but after a chat with my fellow co-founder Gavin, we decided we needed to talk to you about this.
As a community hub for videogamers that endeavours to give you some high quality reviews, we are here for everyone. You can be any protected characteristic and we accept and love you. We’re always a message away, and we always reply (albeit not straightaway all of the time).
The current strikes currently taking place in the United States of America affect us all, be you a movie buff or a videogames journalist. We understand the key issues behind the strikes taking place and feel inspired by some of the heartfelt speeches given by actors and actresses in Hollywood right now. We’re pretty sure we wouldn’t want artificial intelligence to digitally recreate our faces and voices long after we’ve gone.
We hope for a swift and just resolution in the ongoing dispute and stand in solidarity with the strikers.
