It’s a common theme for game tie-ins for films to generally be quite poor. However, whilst the release of Mad Max: Fury Road is inevitably related to Mad Max: Savage road being developed, the tie-ins end there it would appear. Comparisons however, are inevitably going to be made though.
In a new trailer released by Warner Bros we see Max have his interceptor stolen by a gang of warboys and their leader. Max becomes mad (get it?) and pursues them. There’s explosions and gun fire and lots of racing around. However it sadly doesn’t look as fun or wild as the films. Without going into too much detail, it looks as though the game is lacking a lot of the crazy vehicles seen in the Mad Max films, and there’s potential hints at a romance which again is something (thankfully in my opinion) that isn’t seen in the films.
The game is set to launch on the 4th of September for the Xbox One. In the meantime check out the trailer below (and the films too if you’re old enough!).
