Some new screenshots of the console release of Diablo 3 with the Reaper of Souls Expansion Pack have appeared online, showing off some of the new features that will be included in the game. Detailed in these are the new Nemesis system, which allows you to avenge the deaths of your friends, the in-game mailbox which allows you to send gifts to friends. It also shows a little bit of a change to the Massacre, Destruction and Environmental Kill bonuses, which seem to reward your character for speed as well.

Apprentice mode is also pictured, which lets you invite friends of a lower level to your game, where they receive a buff relative to your own power. Playing with other people gives a boost to your XP gains and gold and magic find too, which is always nice to see if you like to roam around with some buddies.

Some of the screenshots detail a lot of the additions that have been added through the expansion pack, Reaper of Souls. This added the new Act V to the game, the Adventure Mode, Nephalim Rifts and even a new class – the Crusader. Even the PC level of difficulties, named Torment, seem to have made it’s way to the consoles in place of the extra Master levels of difficulty, so the game seems to be a lot similar to the actual PC release. This shows off Torment VI in particular, which awards players with a whopping 1600% bonus gold and XP for killing monsters, as well as a significant increase in the drop rate for Legendary items.

All of this and more can be gleamed from the screenshots, which you can see from the Eurogamer article, and although they are specifically from the Playstation version of the game, all the features mentioned will be avaiable in both Xbox versions of the game.

Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on this and transfer my characters over. The amount of new content in this release is just staggering, and it’s yet unknown whether or not we’ll get the soon to be released PC patch 2.1.0 which again gives more content to the game. Time will tell, and it’s getting me eager to try and get my Paragon level as high as possible so I can reap the rewards. Pun intended.

Diablo 3: The Ultimate Evil Edition will be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on the 19th of August worldwide, allowing you to import your previous characters. Check out the source at the end of this article to have a look at these screenshots yourself.
