World War Z is the frantic Zombie game that uses a specially developed Swarm Engine to render hundreds of Z’s on screen at once for chaotic PvE and PvPvZ action. Since its release in mid-April the game has already surpassed over 2 million units sold, showing how popular the title is amongst the players.

Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have not rested since the game launched and have recently released the first DLC called the Undead Sea which is free for all to enjoy. This brings a new mission that takes you to an abandoned and infested ferry in Tokyo, seeing you battle through the open decks and tight cabins to stay alive. What will make this battle more taxing is the new Virulent Zombie type that spits deadly toxins and can revive itself if not dispatched correctly – bringing a new dynamic to combat.

The new content brings you to Tokyo Harbour where you will board and fight to survive on an infested ferry

Some gameplay improvements have also been added in with the DLC. You can now set up private lobbies, switch classes during PvPvZ matches and have access to bonus cosmetic items along with some fixes and game balancing.

And there is even more fresh content on the horizon for World War Z, with the post-launch roadmap showing:
• A new 6 skull difficulty setting
• Weekly challenge mode
• Wave-based survival mode
