Just a few months ahead of its release, a new trailer has been posted for upcoming murder-mystery title Murdered: Soul Suspect. This game challenges players not only to find clues to just any killer – but to their own killer. The “Buried” trailer is the latest to give players another tiny peek at the mysterious and frightening town of Salem.
Published by Square Enix and developed by Airtight Games, Murdered: Soul Suspect is a supernatural-detective-thriller game, where the player takes the role of Ronan; a man brutally murdered who must now use his supernatural abilities he has acquired in the afterlife of “Dusk” to bring his killer to justice.
If you haven’t seen any other trailers for this game then you might be slightly confused by the female voice-over in this video. This is Joy, a medium who is the only witness to Ronan’s murder. Ronan needs her help, as she can see and hear things from the afterlife and may be his only link to finding his killer.
I’ve been following news and videos about this game for a few months now and this one does not disappoint! It’s short and sweet, cleverly giving players enough information but not too much that you know who the killer could be. Or do we know already? Is the killer right in front of our eyes? I know I’ll need to play to find out!
For those who are interested in pre-ordering Murdered: Soul Suspect, some retailers in Europe are selling a Limited Edition version which includes a secret journal and a digital map of Salem. The journal will include details about the events happening in Salem and special artwork, and the digital map will provide players with a detailed view of Salem, showing which areas have yet to be discovered and investigated.
Murdered: Soul Suspect is out on 06/06/14 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
