Recently, NetherRealm, the developers behind Mortal Kombat as of late, have been teasing and revealing new characters for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. Now it seems, one of the final characters that has been teased but not yet revealed may be confirmed to be The Predator.
According to a posting on the Xbox Store, Jason Vorhees, alongside the Predator are two of four extra characters that are available in a “Kombat Pack” that is bundled with the Premium Edition of the game. Though Jason Vorhees was already announced on Friday the 13th, The Predator has not currently been.
The Predator would suit the franchise, however. With creatures like Baraka, it’s not so far fetched that this brutal alien species could show up. Then again, Freddy Krueger and Jason have now shown up in multiple games, so movie villains and monsters just may be something of a favourite pick from the developer. Predator will be included among characters old and new for Mortal Kombat X, which is due to release in Mid-April for Xbox One, while the last generation version has been delayed into the summer.
