In news that will come as a complete surprise to absolutely no-one that pays any kid of attention to AAA gaming these days, EA yesterday announced that Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, the sequel to 2008 cult(ish) classic, Mirror’s Edge, has been delayed three months from its original launch window of February 2016 to May 24th.

In a blog post on the Mirror’s Edge site, Senior Producer Sara Jansson stated “We will use these few extra months to make sure that when you step into the massive City of Glass and experience the rise of Faith, it’s as entertaining, impressive, and memorable as it can be.”.

As well as giving the team at DICE that extra bit of time to apply some spit and polish, it also moves it out of the shadow of Far Cry: Primal and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, both of which are due to be released on Catalyst’s original launch date of February 23rd, so it’s probably a smart move on EA’s part.
