This is the most exciting trailer from E3 this year for me, and I’m sure fellow Mass Effect fans have been waiting impatiently for some sort of official information too. This teaser trailer is pretty vague, but we can take some hints from it. Check it out here if you haven’t already.

I don’t know about you guys but I think this video – although short and vague – is absolutely perfect. I feel like the developers really care about where they’re going with this title, and want the fans to be a part of development too. I was one of the sceptics when Mass Effect 4 was originally mentioned a while back, however with the knowledge that this title will only reference the trilogy and will remain a separate game I am sold. There would be no sense in continuing where we left off in Mass Effect 3 (no spoilers, I promise!) and so allowing the player to have the same Mass Effect experience while playing a different story definitely sounds like the best option. What do you guys think? I guess it depends what that story is, but we’re not likely to hear about that for quite some time.
Knowing that the developers are keen to utilise next-gen console capabilities, Mass Effect fans can look forward to more stunning environments, more immersive characters and their relationships and (hopefully) more intuitive combat and gameplay. If the concepts in the teaser trailer are anything to go by, we’re going to have an incredible visual experience on our hands! The developers seem to understand what went wrong in each of the previous instalments and want to make a game that incorporates all of the good points of each.
