As most of you are probably asking after seeing the title, what exactly is this new article in the Halo Community section? I’ll tell you, don’t worry. Knowing the Lore is a new ongoing bunch of articles that tell you more about the lore of the Halo universe, or in other words, the details. These articles will feature a new topic each week, whether it be on a weapon from Halo Reach, a side character from Halo 2, or something from the extended fiction, such as the books or online series.
The whole reason the Halo community section exists is to bring all of the Halo community together, whether they play the games, read the books, or collect Halo related goodies. This section is for those who are interested in learning more about Halo’s universe, without having to read through all the books, or read page after page of information. It’ll be a nice easy to digest way of getting extra info.
Now the question is, what exactly do I feature in this new series of articles? Well that’s where the community comes in. Each week I will post a poll (starting on the Wednesday, and ending on the Saturday) to find out exactly what the Halo community wants to learn some information about. What ever comes at the top of the poll with the most votes will then be featured on the next “Knowing the Lore” article, which will be posted the following Monday. Each week will follow the same pattern, much like the community firefight game night, for as long as I can actually type (basically a long time).
Since this week is getting into the groove of things, and no poll has been set up, this introduction article will be this weeks article for this section, however, extended lore isn’t always official. Fan made characters and weapons are always popular in the community too, and so, I shall feature some unofficial extended lore created by yours truly.
