The journey that started back in 2002 looks to be finally continuing with a sequel to Sora’s story. The last outing we properly had as the pointy haired protagonist was 2005’s Kingdom Hearts 2.
It has taken an outstanding 13 years to finally get to Kingdom Hearts 3, but hopefully it will be worth the lengthy wait. I managed to get my hands on a Kingdom Hearts 3 demo, you can read my thoughts on the gameplay – on my Kingdom Hearts 3 – EGX article.

Today launched the opening sequence for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3, the video will only be confusing to people who have not invested the time into the series. The amount of story and characters this 95 second video throws at you is insane, from the main characters to the Organisation XIII and the Birth by Sleep team.
The video manages to briefly show off all the players on the board going into Kingdom Hearts 3, the team at Square Enix have an extremely hard job putting out a game that will live up to the anticipation. Though with returning artist Hikaru Utada to lend her vocals for the theme song, they have landed her with the awful styling of Skrillex. This theme does not live up to that memorable songs in Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 and frankly is the biggest disappointment of the entire trailer.

I only hope that was all of Skrillex involvement in this project.
