Yesterday Ubisoft announced a free Just Dance demo that’s available to play on the Xbox One using the Just Dance Controller app. The app is also free and is available for Apple and Android devices (coming soon to Windows Phone). It allows players to play the game without the use of Kinect or controllers (but if you want you can still select to use the Kinect) and transforms the device into a controller that tracks your move accuracy as well as allowing you to navigate the game’s menu.
To play the demo follow these instructions:
1. Download the Just Dance Controller app to your Apple or Android smartphone.
2. Download the Just Dance 2016 demo to your Xbox One.
3. Connect your smartphone to the same wi-fi network as the console.
4. Select the song and dance holding the phone in your right hand.
The demo currently only consists of one song- Calvin Harris’ “Blame” and you’ll need Xbox Live membership in order to play it. But Ubisoft has said that we can look forward to over 40 new tracks when the game launches later this year.
