Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive recently announced that Hitman 2 will put Agent 47 on a mission to assassinate Mr Bean.

Breathe easy Rowan Atkinson fans; you won’t be hunting down that Mr Bean. Instead Hitman 2 will have you looking through the scope to take down the one and only Sean “I die in everything” Bean.

Details from the announcement confirmed that Bean will be the first elusive target to be introduced. Much like the last game, these special time-sensitive contracts will see Agent 47 up against the clock to assassinate the target. However there is a big catch. Failure to complete the contract and you will not be able to try again.

Bean will be playing the role of Mark Faba, a former M15 agent gone rouge, known as “The Undying”. Faba has veered from the path of being an agent, to becoming a freelance assassin. He received the name of “The Undying” from faking his own death a fair few times. This hasn’t gone down well with the International Contract Agency (ICA), who have now put a hit out for him. The mission is set in Miami, where Faba is on a mission of his own to complete a contract. Act quickly however as this contract will only be open for 10 days!

A live action trailer was released with the announcement showing Bean playing Faba. He can be seen explain to a therapist all the different ways he has avoided death and what his life is like as an assassin. Considering his many on screen deaths, there is a clever underlying joke introducing Sean Bean as “The Undying”.
