Hello everyone, Jordan here with some very important information regarding the Halo Community section of XBLG. Since the launch of the Halo Community section there has been plenty of feedback, both from the community and within XBLG. I’ve also gained some experience and knowledge on what the community likes to see and how they like to see it. This article is here so that I can tell you all about the upcoming changes in the future. I’m sure this will be the first update post of many.
Schedule and Articles
As revealed when Halo Community first launched, there was a plan to have weekly content that followed a set routine. After talking to people after the last couple of weeks, I’ve decided to refresh how articles will be rotated and posted. Below are the upcoming changes:
- Knowing the Lore and Jordan’s Top 5 will now be rotated each week, rather than posting both every week.
- New content from other writers is in the work, as well as features from more of the community.
- Game night reminder articles will be posted in the future.
Halo Community Game Nights
For those who aren’t aware, currently Halo Community on XBLG hosts two game nights a week. The Warzone Firefight game night on a Sunday, the Arena game night on a Wednesday, both starting at 7pm BST. After playing with the community over the past few weeks as well as feedback both on Twitter and Facebook, I have decided to change the base ideas for these game nights.
- Warzone Firefight game night and Arena game night will now be changed to simply “Halo Community Game Night“.
- Time restrictions will be taken into account, with possible game nights in the future for those in different time zones.
Additional Future Content
While I have to be very careful of what I say here, I can confirm that there are plenty of ideas and plans for future content on the Halo Community section. One of which involves some of your favourite XBLG crew playing through a very specific gaming franchise from start to finish. More Q&A’s are also lined up, along with news recaps that will pop up very soon.
Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart for the support given to “Halo Community” on XBLG. The launch was amazing, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with a lot of good constructive feedback to boot. It’s thanks to all of you that things like this exist, so carry on sharing the Halo love and we’ll keep providing the Halo treats.
