LET’S ALL JUST TAKE A MOMENT TO CELEBRATE THAT WE FINALLY HAVE SOME HALO NEWS!!! (and a title!!!)
Several hours ago I predicted some form of announcement due to sources leaking information (some sources I didn’t bring to your attention, because they were private) and I was right: https://xblgamerhub.com/News/halo-5-to-be-announced-in-the-next-few-hours
but what exactly do we have?
http://news.xbox.com/ was what brought this news to our tables, to which Bonnie Ross, General Manager of 343 Industries posted an article addressing the next installment of the game. Link: http://news.xbox.com/2014/05/games-halo-journey-announcement
The article contains only basic information on the game, stating that more information will come further down the track at Xbox E3 2014 media briefing, June 9, and really, I’m happy with that for now, because I don’t think any of us expected more.
The article elaborates that our journey only “begins” in 2014, as far as news and information about the game goes, but the actual game won’t be released until the fall of 2015… nice one 343… but hey we also get a title; Halo: Guardians. Which is a pretty bold move if I do say so myself, considering that all previous halo games centered on the Chief have only carried the generic title and a number. Along with that title came the picture you see as this articles thumbnail, now at first glance I thought the figure on top was a Forerunner, but upon closer inspection it looks as though the figure is UNSC Spartan, but perhaps with more Forerunner upgrades, it could even be Chief in a new suit you say? I also came to that conclusion, until I saw this
Still can’t see it? On his left breast-plate, an ONI symbol. Why would Chief have an ONI symbol? Could the rumors about him going rogue be true, and could this be someone sent to eliminate or capture ‘Chief? Perhaps another protagonist with some other plot angle, I don’t know and I’m not making any further predictions, I’m lucky but not Chief lucky.
