Chainsaw destruction…its a new day, yes it is!
The members of popular WWE group; The New Day are heading to Gears 5 as a trio of DLC characters.
New Day members: Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E will be available to battle the Swarm hordes sometime in the near future. Woods, revealed on Twitter a new look to the gang as they come themed with COG armour that’s coloured in their New Day colours.
“After playing @GearsOfWar for years (& reading the books) I’m happy to announce that myself, [Kofi Kingston], and [Big E] somehow convinced them [to] make us playable DLC characters in #Gears5,” Woods tweeted.
There’s no release date for when the trio will be officially available to play, but their models are looking pretty complete if the promotional images are to be believed.
The New Day aren’t the first WWE superstars to crossover into the Gears universe. Dave Bautista is currently available as a special skin for series stalwart Marcus Fenix. The former WWE superstar can also be swapped out for the gruff sounding Fenix for use in the games Campaign.
Gears 5 is playable now on Xbox, with enhancement on the Xbox Series X.
