We’ve got a few new titles coming out this week, including one that will definitely interest the retro-gamers amongst you.

Arcade Game Series 3-in-1 pack – 20/04/16

First up: a little retro treat from the people at Bandai Namco with their Arcade Game Series 3-in-1 pack, released on April 20.

It contains 3 (obviously) retro classic favourites for you to enjoy and relive gaming moments from your childhood. There could be those amongst you too young to have played it the first time round, or just haven’t played it yet, and get to experience this for the first time. I’m one of the oldies so I’d be replaying it unfortunately.

The pack contains Dig Dug, Galaga and the old favourite Pac-Man.

There’s a little extra for Pac-Man fans that allows you to play with the Map 256 bug. This is a game-breaking bug that manifests on the 256th level, turning half the screen into a bunch of random numbers and symbols, making the level unbeatable. I would go into the technical details behind the level crash but that’s not what you’re here for. You can always google it or find me on twitter if you really want to know.

Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom – 20/04/16

Next up, we have the action-adventure game Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom from Big Ant Studios.

In this action-adventure title you play as a Jester named Jaxx, pitted against an army of evil invading clowns who are after the Druid Orbs, the most desired, coveted and powerful pair of balls in all The Realm. You can expect a lot of this type of humour.

Jaxx and his P.I.C (Partner in Crime, for those who haven’t seen Role Models), Comedia, have the map showing the location of the baubles which obviously makes them both a target of the Clown Army. When Comedia gets captured by the clowns, it’s up to you to rescue her and stop the map falling into their hands.

Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom is released on April 20 along with the Arcade Game Series.

Lumo – 22/04/16

Last up for this week is Lumo, the isometric, arcade adventure game. Lumo may remind some players of old-school 8-Bit classics like Alien 8, Head Over Heels and Knightlore.

Lumo is developed by Triple Eh?! and published by Rising Star Games, and you’ll be able to pick up a copy through ID@Xbox on April 22.

It’s a happy-looking little game and the puzzles look challenging and a lot of fun. Your main character looks like a little wizard with his Fantasia style hat.

Check out the trailer below and you’ll see what I mean.

The developer, Gareth Noyce, has created a devblog on Tumblr for those that might want to have a read on his journey up to now: http://triple-eh.tumblr.com/
