After the success of Forza Motorsport 5, the next installment of the Horizon franchise has been released. For those of you not familiar with the series, Forza Horizon is an open world racing game, which is a welcomed difference to the sometimes linear older brother of the Forza franchise.
Forza Horizon 2 gives you the opportunity to drive and race around Italy and France. On top of the new areas, Horizon 2 has a host of new features. These include a dynamic weather system with the events being able to take place either at day or night. They have also included a new feature called the “Bucket List”. This very similar to the “1000 club”, for those of you who played the previous Horizon game. It is a solo or co-op list of challenges to complete across the 2 areas. The car list was unexpected for me as well, as this was a different series for Forza, and I didn’t expect the vast amount of cars that are available in the game.

I had the chance to play Forza Horizon 2 at this years EGX and to say it was an improvement on the last Horizon game would be an understatement. The open world environment with the visuals and handling of Forza Motorsport 5 were outstanding, and I for one can’t wait to pick up my copy of the game.
To celebrate the release of Forza Horizon 2, Xbox didn’t hold back: they teamed up with Lamborghini and Hot Wheels to host a Kids Car Lovers Day at the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club. As a cool addition to the lucky kids being able to play the new game, they had the opportunity to design a custom paint job for the Lamborghini Huracán. The three winners chosen are to have their designs released on Forza Horizon 2 as free downloadable content to the Xbox community.
