So I am sure we are all aware (if you have left your rock for 5 minutes) that The Witcher book/game series is getting a cheeky wee Netflix adventure. It was announced a while back by writer Lauren Hissrich and is set for release in 2019.
Although there is a video game series of the Witcher world, the Netflix series is set to be based on the fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowksi. Henry Cavill has been cast as the the main protagonist, Geralt of Rivia with Freya Allan as Ciri and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. I am still unsure about the casting of Henry Cavill as he doesn’t quite seem old enough, or ‘rough’ in my head, but who knows?
Today Netflix released the first glimpse of Henry Cavill as Geralt. I am not sure yet. I need MORE! Buzzing for more glimpses of his character – will we get a sneak peek at him speaking? Him in action?

Witchers are monster hunters, so I am looking forward to seeing how the creators are going to tackle the many fantasy creatures in the series… Will we get CGI or weird Doctor Who-esque live action?
