Satya-Nadella-3.jpg

In what seems to be the only corporate news in town, Microsoft announced it’s new CEO Satya Nadella. A 22 year veteran with the company, he is most notable as the executive who moved the Seattle software giant into the cloud with SkyDrive (soon to be come OneDrive), Bing and perhaps most relevant for this audience, Xbox Live. The interview is below and for those who are curious about the man who will help to shape the future of Xbox, it’s worth a look. He talks about Microsoft moving from being a productivity company with it’s software, into embracing the mobile device explosion and becoming a “Do More” company. I think one of the key ideas he talks about is getting play into how you work, so this seems to me to be a man who understands the value of bringing fun to your day. Prior to the announcement, some Wall Street Analysts were suggesting that the Xbox Division might be sold off to allow the company to focus more on their core businesses, but not hearing much about that now.
