Late last night for us in the UK after the Sony press conference came the news that GTA V is not only coming to next gen in the form of the Playstation 4, but will be released for the PC and Xbox One as well. It’s unknown whether the resolution or framerate will improve, but this is very likely as the upgrade will allow for a lot more power to be used for the game. It will be interesting to see what can be squeezed out to improve the quality of the game.
It was also announced that users of the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of the game will be able to transfer their online profile to the next gen version of the game. Unusually, this was announced at the Sony press conference, saying both previous generation versions of the game could transfer to the PS4, leading to us believing that the same could be possible for the Xbox One version of the game.
We’re excited to see the Xbox One getting GTA V, as a lot of players seem to have been waiting to play it as the release was so close that it seemed inevitable for the next gen versions to be announced. You can check out a trailer of the upgraded version below.
