Dance Central was one of the most popular Kinect titles for the Xbox 360, and Harmonix have been good about keeping it alive with regular updates of DLC to keep people dancing away, with their extremely well constructed and fun dancing game. While they did show up at E3 and talked briefly about their Fantasia game, they had nothing to show for it. They did, however, announce a new entry to the Dance Central series, dubbed Dance Central: Spotlight for the Xbox One.
This new game will be downloadable, and has the promise that new content will be easier to deliver to the player, allowing for much more content that ever before in a Dance Central game. This will go a long way in showing that the Kinect is pretty good for these types of games, no matter what your opinions of them are.
No news of a next gen Rock Band, but considering how much fun I’ve had with Dance Central, I’m not disappointed by this news in the slightest.
