If someone gave me the choice between a realistic shooter and a game where you play as gun wielding Dragons I will take the dragons every single time; which is why I am thankful to talk about a game that just got its first console release exclusively on Xbox One. Have you ever wanted to take on an army of killer robots with a squad of fire breathing/gun wielding dragons? Then Dragon Bros is the game for you.
Yes, I know it sounds like the plot of a really bad straight to video film but it also sounds like an awesome concept for a game which thankfully is now available to play on Xbox One. Dragon Bros, which was previously released on Steam, is reminiscent of the contra days of platforming and boasts a colourful yet retro aesthetic that sees you battle through various areas (all of which you can freely revisit) while you take on over a dozen types of enemies. Not only that but you can also play through the entire game with a friend through co-op (no news on couch co-op unfortunately).
I’m glad to see more titles like Dragon Bros release, as much as I do love games with gritty narratives it is sometimes just good old fun to play a game that does not care in terms of logic, it goes without saying that Dragons wielding various types of guns while taking on giant robots throws realism out the window just a tad.
