It’s exciting to know there’s a new Dragon Ball game on the horizon. The hyper masculinity, combined with the over-the-top fighting and dialogue makes for a campy experience that the anime is known for. Unfortunately the games have often been hit-or-miss with that same spirit. Bandai Namco appears not to be interested in taking any chances with the game’s reception, as there has now been a delay.
A delay can’t be bad, however. The new console cycle has recently been marked with a series of setbacks upon release, so it’s in a publisher’s best interest to hold off on a game’s release if there is something that still requires work. We will still see Dragon Ball Xenoverse during the first quarter, and soon at that. Look for it on Steam, and both Xbox and PlayStation consoles February 27th.
