Don’t Starve Together, a standalone expansion which builds on Don’t Starve: Giant Edition which is out not for Xbox One. Offering server based multiplayer letting you set out in the uncompromising wilderness with friends, or with strangers. The art style of this title has such a beautiful charm but don’t let it fool you. The wilds of the island are savage, monsters roam the lands, darkness brings unseen enemies, winter is unforgiving for those who don’t prepare and who can say what lurks just on the edges of insanity….

For those of you who have never played Don’t Starve before, set up a private server and have a bit of a play, see what you need to do to make it through a few days. Gathering resources is important but in a multiplayer world, they are shared. With more mouths to feed it becomes important if working together to pool your resources, work to achieve goals and keep everyone happy and healthy.

Is living with others the only way though? Of course not, striking out alone is another option. This means you can gather for yourself, only have to feed yourself. It does however come at the cost of not having someone at your back to help in a tough fight or out of a tough situation.

It’s been a while since I last played but now the title is on Xbox, you can bet i’ll be picking up a copy for myself. At only £11.99 at the time of writing on the Microsoft store, i recommend you do the same. Just remember, Don’t Starve.
