The Xbox One has been host to a few HD remasters by now, but today drops the Devil May Cry HD Collection. This is a game series that went on to inspire other franchises, while building upon its own foundations to create a brilliant hack and slash experience as well compelling gameplay.
The HD remaster was originally released last generation at the tail end of the Xbox 360‘s reign. The remaster was all the fun of the first 3 games in the series, while all being under one roof. This time, all the original games with be running at 60 FPS for those mind bending combo attacks.
Players are reintroduced to Dante in Devil May Cry, then disappointed by him all over again in Devil May Cry 2 while riding the series highest point in Devil May Cry 3.
The series has not always been hit after hit, though they have all been fun to play in their own unique way. This can be down to level design, gameplay mechanics, weapon choice or even just the characters themselves. Whatever your opinion, Devil May Cry has been a game changer within the gaming community since its 2001 original release.
