You may have heard of Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal and that little game the made called Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It was only a critically acclaimed and multimillion selling game so you might not have.
Anyway, I’m sure you’ve heard that they are releasing a sequel called Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Along with that announcement they have released a trailer showing just how far the iconic hero, Adam Jensen, has come since his last outing in Human Revolution.
You’ll all know, even those that haven’t the chance or inclination to play the game, that Adam is the next step in human evolution, hence the name of the previous game (and yes I’ve just used the word hence). In the upcoming Mankind Divided he is now an experienced covert operative, as you’d expect him to be with this being the next game, forced to operate in a world that’s grown to despise his kind. Kind of like “I, Robot” but it’s more than just Will Smith who doesn’t like him. Adam will have to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy using a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations but at the same time choosing the right approach along with who to trust.
The in game trailer highlights a few things like the Titan shield as well as the new gun-arm augmentations: the Tesla, Nanoblade and PEPS.
For those of you with the Deus Ex Universe app (iTunes & Android, it’s free by the way), you lucky people can unlock a bonus video by scanning a triangle icon that appears in the below trailer. So keep an eye out for that!
You can expect to see Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on shelves, real and virtual, on February 23, 2016. Still a bit of a wait but that time will fly by and you’ll be picking up your copy before you know it.
