Anyone who’s been playing Destiny since launch may have heard the tales of the ‘Loot Cave’. This farming location was discovered early on in the game’s life, and became a fan hit, spawning its own etiquette so that people could gather engrams to de-crypt and legendary items faster in the game.

Whether or not you agree with or have used the ‘Loot Cave’ or its many different appearances, it isn’t really relevant. The point, and Bungie seems to agree with this, is that the game was never about shooting endlessly into a cave for hours on end. And so, they eventually patched out this exploit. In the most recent patch, however, a new pile of something appears in the cave, and you can interact with it.

What seems to be a mass of dead bodies lies within the center of the cave, and interacting with it leaves you with the following spooky message: “A million deaths are not enough for master Rahool”.

It’s a nice little reference to something that ended up exploding in a strange way within the community. It’s great that it’s kept within the lore of the game as well. Bungie have been cracking down on these farming exploits with each patch that has been released. So what do you guys think? Are these a legitimate way to gather loot and resources? Is it just boring? Should you be playing the game regularly to try and satisfy those loot cravings? Have a discussion with us!
