Destiny is still met with mixed reviews after a long time on the market now. Some people thrive and play it religiously and others consider it to be the biggest let down in the current era of gaming. Love it or hate it, people are still talking about it.

With the second of the planned Destiny DLC being released on the 19th of March, we see an area of the game finally opened up to players. The area known as the Reef is the dwelling place of the Awoken who are a nomadic and proud race who distance themselves from the events of earth and humanity. The Reef was only accessible as a cut-scene in the original game and I was personally disappointed with the lack of roaming in a place that looked to be very interesting.

House of Wolves takes place after The Fallen who were guests living in the Reef under the protection of the Awoken, turned on the people and left themselves open to the justice of the Awoken. In steps humanity to answer the call of help and that in turn lets us into the Reef to see what we did not get to see before.

In a recent live stream on the Bungie Twitch channel they showed off what will be available with the upcoming House of Wolves DLC.

A few things covered on the live stream were

  • New story agents and what quests will consist of.
  • A new game modes such as Prison of Elders (which is a co-operative battle area) and Trials of Osiris ( a weekly competitive special event).
  • New bounties, vaults and postmaster will be accessible on the Reef.
  • Any legendary or exotic weapons and armour will be upgradable to full attack and defence.

The next live stream will be taking place on Wednesday April 29th at 19:00 and will show off more details about the Trials of Osiris.
